At Minu, we place the highest emphasis on safety, quality, and the health friendliness of all our products. That’s why our baby carriers and wraps are tested and certified by one of the most trusted testing institutions in the Czech Republic – the Textile Testing Institute (TZÚ).

Our newborn-ready baby carriers meet the highest European safety standards. At the Technical Testing Institute, they were evaluated for:

• long-term load capacity and material durability,

• seam, construction, and joint strength,

• safety of buckles and all functional components,

• resistance during simulated real-life use.

The result is a carrier that is:

• safe and stable even during long-term carrying,

• structurally strong and resistant to wear,

• designed to provide healthy ergonomics for both baby and parent,

• certified for safe use from birth.

Our wraps and wrap-style carriers are tested for:

• fiber strength and long-term durability,

• color quality and colorfastness,

• material safety suitable for newborns,

• elasticity and shape stability under repeated load,

• safety during real-life use and everyday handling.

The result is a wrap that is:

• soft, comfortable, and gentle on sensitive skin,

• strong and safe for carrying,

• certified for use from birth.

Every single carrier or wrap goes through a series of mechanical tests confirming that it is 100% safe and suitable for newborns.

Textile Testing Institute (TZÚ)

Textile Testing Institute, s.p. is an independent testing and certification organization established by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic in 1993. It is located in Brno at Cejl 12 and operates as an accredited laboratory under valid European standards.

TZÚ specializes in testing and certifying textile products as well as items from other industrial sectors. Its results are recognized throughout the European Union and ensure a high standard of safety and quality.

Our Certificates

Each of our baby carriers and wraps is type-tested according to strict technical standards. Certification confirms compliance of the evaluated product with the following technical norms:

• TNI CEN/TR 16512:2015 – Child care articles – Guidelines for the safety of baby carriers
• ČSN EN 13209-2:2016 – Child care articles – Baby carriers – Safety requirements and test methods (Part 2: Soft carrier)
• ČSN 80 0050:2024 – Hygiene requirements for textile products for children up to 3 years or size 110 inclusive

These standards ensure that all our products are safe, health-friendly, and suitable for everyday use with newborns and small children.
